Let’s Connect

The first thing to do is call us and share your story. If you feel like we’re the right fit for you, we’ll email you our welcome package and book in a time to meet face-to-face at your preferred location. Yup, we come to you! (Note: If it’s an urgent request, we can speed the process up so don’t worry.) 

2.

Initial Meeting

Our initial meeting involves talking – sometimes lots of talking – about your loved one. We ask questions to get a deeper understanding of who they are, their likes and dislikes, faiths and beliefs, loves, legacy, traditions… not whether they wanted a wooden or wicker casket (although we will have to address that at a later date). If you’re happy to proceed, we arrange to pick your loved one up and take them into our care.*

*we work in partnership with a professional mortuary based on the Gold Coast.

3.

Conception

After our first meeting we go off and put those ideas into a curated funeral concept, providing a detailed outline of the recommended venue, theme, ceremony, ritual and minute details for you to sign off on. A clear budget is set for no messy surprises, everything is itemised for clarity and convenience.

4.

Planning

Once approved, we get busy locking in venues, coordinating logistics, speaking with our preferred suppliers and vendors and filing all the necessary paperwork on your behalf. We keep you informed of where we’re at with everything, and if there’s anything you want to do along the way, we encourage that – it’s creative collaboration at its finest!

5.

The Day Of

We’re there to support you in every way we know how and more often than not, the day of the funeral is the hardest. We arrive early to set-up and ensure everything is in place and running smoothly, so that you can just focus on you

After Care

By planning a funeral through Rite of Passage Funerals you become a part of the family. We strive to build strong relationships with all our clients, helping guide you through the process of grief long after the funeral ends. We offer grief retreats, workshops and more – with existing ‘family members’ receiving 25% off all bookings.
